The Concept:

Motivation is more the removal of obstacles to good work than it is "inspiring" people to work harder. This program presents practical approaches to the true causes of motivational problems and realistic techniques for creating a motivational environment.

You will learn to:

Identify the common mis-conceptions about motivation that often cause, rather than cure motivational problems Differentiate between "obstacles to performance" and "obstacles to work gratification"
Distinguish between true obstacles and pseudo-obstacles called "dis-satisfiers" Define and get concurrence from employees on what constitutes a "job well done"
Carry out a JWD (job well done) discussion in a coaching session or performance appraisal discussion.
